Is there a problem with iOS4 and Rubi

Postby overthehill » Sun Jul 11, 2010 6:26 pm

Since I upgraded my iPhone 3G to iOS4 I cannot start Rubitrack - it launches to the main screen then closes down after a couple of seconds?

Is there a compatibility problem? Thanks

Nothing we are aware of. After such a crash sync your iPhone with iTunes. That will transfer crash logs to the Apple servers which we can access in a couple of days.

The crash logs are completely inconclusive. Can you try removing rubiTrack from the iPhone and installing it again? This will delete all activities from the phone in the process, so be sure to sync first.

I'm having issues getting the first sync to complete properly. I believe this started when iOS 4 came out. I've had the issue on a 3G S and a new 4. In both cases the sync starts and never completes. This seems to be more of an issue with the initial sync, not incremental update syncs. Any suggestions? Deleting the app and trying again has not worked (and shouldn't be related since this is a new phone).

What do you mean by it "doesn't complete properly"? Does it crash or does it do something else? What if you limit the sync'ed activities in the first sync (via rubiTrack import preferences). Does that help?

The sync bar just stops progressing. There is no crash. Sometimes it will post a msg. on my iPhone about losing the sync connection. That seems odd since my wifi network is fine. I ran the initial sync 10 or so times, and finally it sync'd all activities. I'm only trying to sync 58, but will try limiting the number initially.

Trying to complete an initial sync again today. It starts the process then pops up a msg on my phone about losing connection with my mac. One activity came over in the 3 minutes it took to throw the error. I noticed after exiting RT that in fact wifi was off on my phone despite it being on when the sync started.
